Walking Trails
We are lucky enough to live on the doorstep of the Onkaparinga River National Park with plentiful walking trails throughout. There are diverse hiking trails which take you to cliff tops with magnificent views, or down to permanent rock pools teeming with life. You’ll see rugged ridge tops and the narrow river valley of the
spectacular Onkaparinga Gorge.
Shared-use trails also offer opportunities for mountain bike riders and horse riders to enjoy the rugged beauty of the park

Shared paths
There are numerous dedicated paths throughout the McLaren Vale region that are specifically for cycling and walking. These paths are safe and walking, cycling or riding through beautiful scenery of McLaren Vale is a great way to experience the area.
The Flat to Vale Trail connects McLaren Flat and McLaren Vale and is only minutes from us. It is a scenic 3.6km walk or ride and lined with Red Gums.
The Shiraz Trail is flanked by rolling vineyards and
some of McLaren Vale's best wineries. It is a shared
path for walkers and cyclists and links McLaren Vale
to Willunga. The 8km long path offers spectacular
rural views over vineyards and the Willunga Range,
along a linear reserve lined with gums and wild olives.
The Shiraz Trail is a smaller extension of the longer
35km Coast to Vines Rail Trail and a popular choice for Fleurieu Peninsula visitors and locals alike.
